Last night I was able to spend some fun, LONG overdue time with my niece Emily and my sister-in-law Michelle at the studio! Emily is graduating from Centennial at the end of the school year, but she's actually already enrolled full time in Bethel's PSEO program.
I hadn't hung out with either of them for such a long time, and even though I have my OWN HS senior daughter at home that I see everyday, it's still hard for me to wrap my brain around the vision of this young, beautiful woman. Emily and my daughter Audrey were born just two weeks apart. I easily recall the two cousins running around in princess dresses and plastic heels, playing with Barbies, and acting out Shark Boy and Lava Girl. (I'm sharing a photo from those days at the end of this post!)
This (new to me) version of Emily is taking some getting used to. I was getting emotional editing these. The years we have our kids to take care of are too short. These changes from girl to young lady seem to happen almost overnight! I want a do over! ...At least, today I do. (Ok; Maybe just in this moment.)
Emily is the sweet, genuine, kind-hearted person she's always been. She's stunning, inside and out. I'm excited to see where life takes her!
Love you, Emily!
(Also; How about this amazing, dramatic, wonderful light in this new studio space?!)
