Happy Birthday, Hudson!
Well, another "Baby's First Year" Package is in the bag! It's always a little bittersweet. While I love getting to watch the transformation of a sleepy newborn into a curious, expressive little being, (and almost overnight, it always seems...) I can't help but be a little sad when it's over. Anytime someone invests in the first year package, I always know that I'm investing in the start of a great relationship, too! After the first year is up, I don't get to see my clients with the same frequency--until they have another baby, of course...
Hudson has been a fun one to work with. He's pretty laid back. He's starting to get pretty confident on his feet, too, but at times he just can't decide if he wants to sit or stand. Out at the farm house last week, all he needed to be happy was a stick. (It's the little things...) He's got those two bottom front teeth that I could just die for, and when he's walking he's so elated that he flashes them all over.
His "big" brother is the sweetest thing, too. He was very concerned about the distressing/holes in my jeans, (for which I can only assume I paid a little extra.) He was VERY concerned.
He must have asked me at least five times, "WHY are your jeans all RIP-PY!!?" I drove home wondering how I could've explained it in a way he might understand. In the end I just decided there might not be an intelligent answer.
Take care, Hudson; Next time I see you, you will be running!
